A few scores found in a trunk, almost by chance 20 years ago, on the island of Guernsey, in Victor Hugo's house: 17 melodies signed by his daughter, Adèle. No one had ever heard them, except perhaps the Hugo family. Adèle, a little lost on her island in Guernsey, a little far from society, had as her imagination the music that she had been able to hear before: The music of Mendelssohn, in particular, which was a bit of a breeding ground for everything that was listened to at that time.
