The Brussels "Kermesse" was a re-creation of the city's old quarter and its popular culture which was a part of the 1910 Brussels Universal Exhibition. There were bands, strolling musicians and guards' parades, as well as performances and dancing in many different venues. This CD includes a selection of the repertoire which was performed as well as a well-illustrated booklet.
