In the 1980s, the Ars Trio gave concerts in the majority of European countries and made numerous recordings for radio and television, as well as for international labels, with one of the most noteworthy being of the complete Antonín Dvorák piano trios for France's BNL. As a soloist, Bally always pursued a novel and inventive repertoire, largely encompassing contemporary Czech piano works, many of which he has premiered. A number of archival recordings are released here for the very first time.
