The album is presented as a tribute to the late Bramwell Tovey - the orchestra's greatly loved principal conductor sadly who passed away in 2022. The album includes pieces for guitar and orchestra with the distinguished guitarist Carlos Bonell (these include the new Cantilena, dedicated to Carlos) and De profundis, a new concertino for bass clarinet recorded by the orchestra's own Derek Hannigan.
