In seiner Wahlheimat England stellte man seine Konzerte und Ouvertüren auf eine Stufe mit den Werken Corellis und Geminianis, ja schätzte sie sogar mehr als jene von Händel. Davon kann heute leider keine Rede mehr sein, jedoch gelingt Les Mufatti unter Peter van Heyghen mit diesen Weltersteinspielungen eine überzeugende Rehabilitation des Italieners.
